Takahē Recovery Programme

Like most people, we’re passionate about our environment and the survival of our native species.

In 2016, we signed a five-year partnership with the Department of Conservation (DOC) worth NZ$1 million to support its Takahē Recovery Programme. We recently extended this partnership for a further five years.

This initiative is helping to re-establish takahē in South Island high tussock lands. Encouragingly, the national population is now nearing 500 adult birds.

Currently 9000 students are participating in the Clontarf Foundation program, across 122 Academies and in many locations where our Fulton Hogan sites co-exist. An important component of the partnership will be the development of a strong relationship between the Clontarf students, academy staff and Fulton Hogan employees in these communities.

Invictus

Invictus

Inclusion and wellbeing is an important part of life at Fulton Hogan. It’s part of daily life for our teams.

Since 2015, Fulton Hogan has helped the wounded and ill men and women of the New Zealand Defence Force compete in an international multi-sport event, as a sponsor of the Kiwi Invictus team. We’re right behind the team and the amazing energy and effort they put into their achievements.

MND New Zealand

MND New Zealand

New Zealand has the highest known rate of motor neurone disease (MND) per head of population in the world – and we’re stepping up to do our bit to help. Every week an average of two New Zealanders are diagnosed with MND, and there is no known cure.

As the Foundation Corporate Sponsor we will help enable MND New Zealand’s Support Team to better assist people living with MND by establishing a homecare fund for clients and families.

Black Dog Institute

Black Dog Institute

Fulton Hogan is proud to partner with Black Dog Institute, the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, with an aim to create a mentally healthier world for everyone.

They do this through ‘translational’ research. Integrating research studies, education programs, digital tools and apps, clinical services, and public resources to discover new solutions, foster connections and create real-world change.
Their partnerships with people with lived experience, federal, state and local governments, communities, schools, corporate Australia and others in the mental health sector enables them to drive evidence-informed change in mental health where it’s needed most.

Black Dog Institute is an independent not-for-profit medical research institute affiliated with UNSW Sydney.

As part of the partnership Fulton Hogan is supporting a new app 'Headgear Construction', which will provide practical and proven mental health strategies for construction workers experiencing mental illness.

MATES in Construction

MATES in Construction

MATES in Construction is a not-for-profit, industry funded organisation that relies on the support of their partners to provide suicide prevention workplace training and ongoing support to New Zealand construction workers.

MATES is an evidence-based workplace suicide prevention model, developed to reduce high suicide rates in the construction industry. In New Zealand, the construction industry has the highest number of suicides across all industries, making it more likely to die from suicide than a work place incident.

Our premium partnership is designed to give guidance and support to our people, encouraging an environment of positive wellbeing, and assist people with mental illness and in times of trauma.
